Community enhancement



A community is more than just a unified body of individuals living together in one place. It is a sense of belonging, it is the culture that represents us, every single individual that integrates it, what we do and what we don't. Everything around us is a small or a big part of our community. Because we are all involve in the creation of it, it is up to us to do some community enhancement to those areas that still need to improve. When the majority of individuals that make up a community are happy, the community will most likely be a happy, organize one. But in order for everyone to be happy, hard work and everyone's effort are required, here are some fun and great ideas of community enhancement:

1. Paint or repair neighborhood homes.

2. Teach classes on a sport or subject you know about and enjoy doing.

3. Volunteer at your local clinic to immunize children

4. Welcome new families to the neighborhood.

5. Produce a neighborhood news latter.

6. Petition your city to make drinking fountains and/or restrooms in public areas available.

7. Clean up trash at a community event or county fair.

8. Set up an art exhibit.

9. Paint a mural that highlights crucial aspects of the community.

10. Volunteer at a local library.

11. Volunteer to help with Vacation Bible School.

12. Be part of the chorus or band.

13. Volunteer to help for a community event.

14. Help to clean leaves from their streets and yards during the fall.

15. Plan native flowers or plants along highways.

16. Clean up lots that are vacant.

17. Collect supplies for persons who have been in a fire or natural disaster.

18. Help fix or clean playground.

19. Participate in an Annual parade.

20. Plant a garden.

21. Keep a town monument clean

22. Clean neighbor's driveway and sidewalk after a snowfall.

23. Clean up after a natural disaster.

24. Be a part of the local blood drive with the American Red Cross.

25. Paint a mural or clean up a local park.

26. Plant flowers in public areas that could use some color.

27. Mow the lawns and care for the plants of neighbors who are away on vacation.

Community enhancement through community service brings together the members of a neighborhood. There are many non profit organizations that aid communities that are willing to improve through community services. Now that you know how to get involve take the decision of making your neighborhood a better place.

The kids are the world's future. We should nurture, guide and protect them. We should teach by example not by , because action speak louder than words, like . This is why giving is important so that they know the difference between right and wrong.
